'33 rear wheel wells...
Are these panels just straight/flat sheet metal?
I was told they were a few years ago & was just making sure before I patched mine. Mine are kinda flaired out at the bottom, but that could be damage from transporting it...? Thanks... 3blap. Last edited by 3blapcam; 01-01-2017 at 10:47 PM. |

Re: '33 rear wheel wells...
They vary depending on body style 33/34 .If the original panel doesn't have the crows foot then is flat .Ted

Re: '33 rear wheel wells...
Interesting, I thought "Crows Feet" style were original and flat was aftermarket. Didn't realize Henry made both.

Re: '33 rear wheel wells...
I believe the plain wheel panels were early & "crows feet" design came out later; to add strength.

Re: '33 rear wheel wells...
That's my understanding as well, flat panels for '33 and crow's foot for '34. Here's a shot of my '33 before restoring the metal work.

Re: '33 rear wheel wells...
33's are flat for sure, and all of my 34's have the crows feet. However, Donnie Smart once told me that early 34's were flat as well...

My early 34 coupe had the flat panels, too.

Pic is remains of a 34 Dlx 4D with no crows feet . Note the 34 Dlx rear ashtray . My 34 roadster and cabriolet do not have them either .
