Now I am always for a better tool, however please tell me why this is better than the screwdrivers that I have used for this chore in the past?

Respectfully,Oldmics

Oldmics, the reason its better is on account of the self aligning feature, you place the tool on the screw head and turn it falls into the slot, with a screwdriver you have to try to hit the slot, plus you can adjust the idle speed with the air breather on. I will be happy to discuss in more detail call 913 832 5001

Not to rain on your parade but Snap-On, and others, have had similar tools for years. TM83a, TM84, TM85. The difference being theirs attach to a 1/4" drive tool...

Thanks for the info, they make a very nice tool, difference is mine can be purchased either alum or plastic. Plastic conducts heat at a slower rate, also I am selling this tool to adjust air/fuel mixture on carburetors. This tool is made in USA, I make it on my work bench. My price is $6.00, compared to $15.75 and $20.75. This USA1000 is made 2 barrel carbs, Tool USA1001 is made for Holly 4 Barrel. thanks John

If you were to put notches on it so it's easy to see how much adjustment is made then it would be a one up on the competition. Maybe colored notches at top and bottom and left and right so I can adjust for half turn and quarter turns? Could be useful for sure.

I can appreciate your ingenuity. I have a sloppy old 2-ton rolling floorjack I use pretty often and get frustrated when you can't get a good enough grip on the handle to be able to turn the pressure screw out for letting the jack down with greasy or dirty hands. To remedy this once and for all time, I made my own tool with the same type of end that you have from a scrap piece of pipe, broken screwdriver, metal sleeve with a hole drilled thru and a piece of steel rod to use as a crank/lever. Required a little cutting, grinding drilling and welding to make. When not in use I just throw it on top of the floorjack so its there when I need it.
If most folks are like me, we use the tools that we have that will work even if they are a little inconvenient, modify substandard tools to make them better, and manufacture our own tools out of necessity. I've got a whole toolbox of homemade tools and then some. I'm guessing I'm not alone.
Hope you have good luck marketing your new tool.

And in my field, we have these. I guess I could shop around and find something a little stronger, but for adjustments, I think they would be fine. Used to adjust potentiometers. I think I can buy one for ~$4.

I think everyone has to admit that there is a certain beauty to homemade tools. Its awesome to know that in your tool box there is no one else in the world who has a tool exactly like that one.

Anybody ever try to remove or tighten the large locknut inside the trunk lid that holds the lock cylinder on these cars. That funny shaped hole they got doesn't give ya room for a regular wrench and the nut is way down in there. So I manufactured my own wrench that will reach down in there with a handle that sticks out so you can grab on to it outside the hole.
Everytime I pass by that toolbox and see that tool in there it always made me wonder how other people were re-installing their trunk locks. Bet they don't have a tool like I do ! Hehe.
