Default Can this module be fixed?

I posted this photo on an earlier thread. The super thin metal strip on the top of the module has worn away.
What is the function of this strip?
Can it be repaired by using a piece if very thin aluminum or copper foil or gold leaf or metal filled epoxy or something else?
Seems a shame to throw it away. It's expensive and hard to find.

Thank you.

Sticky aluminum duct tape might do the trick. (Although it may not provide any positive solution to any problem either real or imagined.)

Yeah, what seems to be the real or imagined problem here that would tempt you to throw it away. Jack E/NJ

It may be a ground or something. I have bought conductive paint from Radio Shack. You apply it like glue out of a tube and let it dry. I have fixed shorted out PC boards by cutting out the shorted area and rebuilding with the paint. Bubba would know if it is needed and what to do!

Jack, the reason why is explained here in thread below. I would like to figure out a way to repair the break in the silver strip shown in the photo. New units cost over $100 if you can find them.

I was hoping this might work.
https://reverb.com/item/2026723-stew...od6UsAsA&pla=1 or silver tape

I would then cover it with a thin coating of clear nail polish.
