I have the Double D tool to remove the nut and I've blocked the gears with a piece of wood but the gear just keeps losing teeth as I spin it. Any suggestions on getting this thing off?

Looks like I'll be removing the radiator. Was hoping to avoid doing that. Damn.

Rather than a block of wood, try a shop rag.

As Forever 4 indicated use a good 1/2 impact and give it some bumps, hopefully it will loosen up. When re-installing make sure your timing marks are aligned. and spring and plunger re-installed |

Before pulling the rad, you might trying vice grips on the cam gear, resting them against the pan to keep from turning. Impact wrench will definitely work.
