New emergency brake cables 1940
I found out when i got the new cable not only do you have to shorten the spring there is no washer on the upper side of the spring.
I machined two pins to replace the missing washers. The pin is milled from end to end 9/32 inch. One end is counter bored so the spring sets inside it and the other end is turned down so it fits inside the tubing the cable goes thru. The milled slot lets it slip on the cable. A picture befor painting would of been better. |
