Saw these on Jay Leno's program and ordered a set. Indicate L, R and Hazard. Just press the desired button. Easy install. Wish there was something like that for the front. The rear light bolts to the license plate and just snaps in place for easy removal at a show, if desired. Pretty neat.

I don't think positive or negative grounds would be a factor if the bulbs are LED's - all one would have to do is to reverse the leads/wires from the unit. Incandescent bulbs are not polarity sensitive....

Very funky. But by the time your average rice box driver has figured it out it maybe too late. All they understand is a light on each corner unfortunately, how ever ugly that may be.

I bought that from: http://www.theegyptgarage.com/
Not cheap, but worth the convenience , I think. No wiring needed so positive or negative ground doesn't matter. I did have to file down the thickness of the top strap from 1/4 in. to 3/16 in. so it would slide between the column and the shift rod. It's made of aluminum so it was easy to file. The BUZZTRONICS model for the bicycle sure is a lot cheaper but not sure of its size. Might be too small for vehicle use. Need something big enough to cover your rear. http://www.fx-series.com/bicyclefx-products.html Last edited by 19Fordy; 07-25-2016 at 08:56 AM. |

Fordy.......it looks like a $150 for the kit. Do you think the push buttons could be mounted some where else, as I have a small tach mounted where you have the push buttons.

I want one, it's a hassle rolling down the window giving hand signals, that younger drivers might not understand! On the express way,it would be a blessing! Believe it or not, I pass a lot of cars, in my 21 stud,38 standard!

Thanks for bringing that item to my attention yesterday. I searched the internet and found something similar for a bicycle for 19.99 and its wireless. I just have to figure out how to make ti fit my car license plate (probably not rocket science). If your interested ebay item#331847631671 AVANTEK Remote Control Bike LED Tail with Turn Warning Laser Beam. $19.99 free S/H . Let me know what you think?
PS when you search use this link http://www.ebay.com/itm/AVANTEK-Remo...MAAOSwZ1BXc3WN

I need directional signals on my 35 fordor sedan in the worse way and I have been holding off on doing a conventional hard wired system, hoping for something like this to come along and make the job much easier to do.
It's not just the younger drivers I worry about not understanding hand signals. We have older drivers who have forgotten, can't see well, and just plain not paying attention to other vehicles, in front, around the sides, and behind them.

I think the bicycle unit is too small to safely use on a motor vehicle.
However, the price is right. The actual signal light part on my plate below measures 7 x 3 inches. My FL plate measure 6 x 12 in. so you get a "size" sense. Signal unit is very easy to remove when you're at a show. Just press a little lever and slide out of clip. PS: I put on a shirt this time. Last edited by 19Fordy; 07-26-2016 at 04:40 PM. |

I recently saw this system in person. I would go this route over the hard wired install. I don't like the cheesy turn signal levers on the hard wired versions.
