Were the side irons on Sport Coupe tops all painted black with the center polished stainless- from 28-31??

From the Judging standards.Pg. 9-2 The Bars where painted Body Colour The centre cover was Nickel plated 28-29 and polished Stainless 30 -31. I have a 28 Sport Coupe and I keep finding info that says the bars where painted Black? I hope others will chime in.

one can see them painted body color in factory photos in THE FORD MODEL A, by De Angeles, Francis,Henry.

BUT, one can also see them painted BLACk in photos from Long Beach Assembly, just possible this was a supervisory plant error, and yes , this is in 1930. Best to stay with the Standards, Fine Pointer or not. jiml...
