Default annoying rattle

For some reason I started getting a rather loud rattle from what sounded like the top of the drivers door which turned out to be the rod connected to the open handle on my 31 Tudoor .
There are numerous ways to go at this , maybe some more desirable than the small rectangular pieces of an old credit card I curled between the rod & door & held in place w/ a drop of super glue .
I hope the judges don't notice !

If you use a vintage credit card the judges will not take off any points.....

A couple felt pads glued to the door skin should keep it quiet.

I think I have that problem also. I assume you have to remove the door panel to fix this?

On mine, I removed the garnish molding , door handle , & one capped screw halfway down the rear edge of the panel which allowed enough access .
If you have the aluminum upper door seal held down by the garnish , don't let it fall down in the door or then panel removal is req'd .
I fastened my 4 door seals w/ dabs of Goop prior to the garnish to prevent that --great stuff for a lot of things .
