Default 28 Roadster door hinges

Okay I am new to Model A's and need help. I want to replace the doors on my 28, how do remove the hinge screws? Someone has already buggered up the slots in the screw heads a bit. I have tried to remove them with a screwdriver but had no luck.

Using an automatic center punch carefully punch the center of each damaged head.
Then using a left handed drill bit drill out the bolt then insert an easy out to remove bolt.
If your lucky the left handed drilling will spin the bolt out.
All of these tools can be bought at harbor freight for under $20.00

Weld a nut to the screw head . Heat breaks the corrosion . Also your favorite penetrating oil helps. Let the weld cool completely before wrenching on the nut. This is on a non painted car of course .

I use an impact screwdriver. It comes with different sized bits, and one hammers on it while turning in the remove direction. It works wonders.

Weld a washer thru the hole onto the screw head.

Then weld a nut to the washer .

Try to turn the nut almost immediately while it is still hot, but not hot enough to break off the weld, , just wait a few seconds .
