Default 1939 Pickup Hubcaps

Could someone please post pictures of the correct hubcap for a 1939 Pickup? I also would love to have pictures of the inside of the cab and also engine compartment pictures. Did the 1939 Pickup have a cab liner and if so what did it look like? Thanks very much for the help.

Here you go, 1939 Ford Standard and Commercial hubcaps. 1938 hubcaps are same shape but the v-8 is longer and black in color.

Gary is 100% correct. This is the correct for the 1938 Ford Standard and 1938 Ford Pickups. Notice that the V8 is much longer than on the 1939 equivalents.

This is wonderful for comparison. Does the same design follow on the spare tire located on right rear fender. Also, is the color on the outside rim of the hubcap, the same as the body of the pickup? Thanks to both of you for the help.

More for comparision.

I'm looking for 2 or 3 decent 1938 truck caps if anyone will part with them. Even one would get me closer. May consider trading caps. Have 36 style caps too. Thanks.

So, if I understand correctly, the locking hub cap center for a 1939 pickup is different in the center from the ones on the four wheels? It is hard to remember all of these differences. But, I do want to have it correct on my 39. Thanks to all for the help. My 39 is supposed to be the Dartmouth Green - so I assume I will need to be on the lookout for hubcaps with green as their outer ring color -correct? Bye the way, Gary, you could just sell me your green ones and save me all the trouble of looking elsewhere. LOL Randy

Randy.........there should be some automotive paint store in your area, that can mix the correct color green you need, and put it in a spray can. You will have to give them a sample of the color, to work from. If you take your time prepping the surface you are painting on the hub cap, and prime first, the cap will come out really nice...Hope this helps

I have one reference also that shows a black cap on the spare. Unfortunately it does not show design or a stamped relief pattern for 39...

Standard color according to the Early Ford V 8 authenticity manual for Standard and commercial vehicles was black. For a nominal fee you could have the caps painted to match the body color. For Delux models the caps were painted to match the body color.

Hey V12Bill, Thanks for the information. Some detailed pictures of your good looking truck would be very much appreciated. Where can I get this "authenticity" manual? Thanks again.
