Water Stains - Canvas Top
Was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and would like to hear your resolution. I've used the often recommended 303 top cleaner. When it finally dries, these stains remain.
Thank you for any help you may provide.

Re: Water Stains - Canvas Top
Go-Jo and a toothbrush work well on grease stains, but I'm not sure what would work best on water or rust stains.

Oxy-Clean doesn't work near as well now that Billy Mays died.

Re: Water Stains - Canvas Top
There is a product called Ragtop Cleaner. I have used it with excellent results. I first purchased it from Macs but I recently saw it being sold at a major car shoe.

Tiny, what process would your recommend? The stains didn't show until after the top had dried after cleaning it with the 303 Convertible Fabric Top Cleaning and Care Kit.

I have had luck with soaking fabrics in Oxy Clean and also making a slurry/paste with it and working into fabrics with my hands. Warning individual results may vary

Call Le Baron Bonny or a good local upholstery shop. Simple Green?

Re: Water Stains - Canvas Top
Griot's makes a good top fabric cleaner. It took some water stains out of my cabriolet top. I scrubbed it in with a toothbrush and it worked well. Of course your mileage may vary due to variations in cloth, dyes, and even the chemistry of what creates the stain. Worth a look. Just google Griot's Garage.

I had the same problem with a 31 Roadster I purchased. I contacted LeBaron Bonney and they had a product that worked well.

Re: Water Stains - Canvas Top
Good tip to ask advice from Lebaron Bonney. I just sent them an email with photos - Will let you know their response.
Google was my first research step and FB was next. I found plenty of info on getting out blood, ink, grease, bird droppings etc but no joy on water wicking stains.
