I believe that '41 was the last year the Ford used 'Business Coupe' to identify a particular model however, I have seen '53 Ford Mainline Coupes with a cargo deck in the rear seat area. I think that would classify them as Business Coupes...???

Vic, 47-48's were listed as a "business coupe" in the sales literature. The newest one I ever saw in person was a 1957 and it did not have a rear seat. Along the way they were listed as a "coupe" or 3 pass. coupe. I suspect that designation ended in the era of the 1960 model. The later models were listed as a "business sedan" and I can't find anything after 1960 for that designation. To my knowledge the shorter roof coupe would've ended in 1956 so you could say that was the end of the business coupes.

I found information in the book I have, "90 Years of Ford" by George Dammann,
shows the 1956 3 passenger as a Business Sedan, but in 1957, and '58, they show
a model 70-D as a 3 passenger Business Coupe, and of course, No backseat.

The book also shows a 3 Passenger, Custom 300 Business Coupe,
for '59 and '60 model 64-G, style 33.

In 1961 Ford dropped the Business Coupe model.

Thanks to all who answered. I need to oder a interior panel kit & Mac's only listed kits for 4 doors & what they are calling a business coupe. I have regular 2 door coupe,so I believe that's what I need. Thanks again

I thought that might be the case but I didn't have my '47 sales brochure available to check. I do vaguely remember seeing a '57 Ford without a rear seat, when I was a kid in Georgia... Thought it was a Moonshine Car...

1954 was the last year there was a REAL coupe with a shorter roof (not 1956).
Don't know if it was ever labeled as a Business Coupe though. I think the Customline version was called a Club Coupe. Maybe they called the Mainline coupe a business coupe ? Not sure.
