Default shock absorber info

WE have a pile of 33/34 shocks some in pieces,
would anyone know if the shocks have the stiffer damping on the spring up or the spring down .(suspension up or down)
I see from inside ,in one direction the two chambers work and in the other only one is in operation.
Thanks Lawrie

Thanks Kurt,I should be able to work it out from there.
Going by that the ones on the rear of my 33 are on the wrong way,
We are making some tooling to get the others apart then fix them up.
