Default Correct fastener question with photos

I am trying to determine what is the correct pin/screw/? for this hole. I don't have my judging standards with me. Thoughts?

I've added a photo of the location on the bell housing. The open hole is on the passenger side. I didn't think that that side received a collar.

It has an early-28 clutch release shaft.....for a multi-disc bell housing. The end is long
for a collar with a rivet! You have a single plate bell housing....does this information
help?? Hope you have the correct T/O fork...

Two more images to help in the trouble shoot. The car is an EARLY 29. Thoughts?

here is a shot of the driver's side (as taken from under the car looking towards the back). It has a pin through it that appears flattened out on the bottom and has a head on the top.

In looking at Mitch's image (passenger side posted 7:22PM) and at some photos of I took of the bellhousing removal months ago, this shaft did not protrude the bellhousing. There was no collar visible on the passenger side.

WardAZ (and all), from the WardAZ photos I now understand what DJ was getting at. My concern now is that the shaft didnt previously protrude the housing. So the question is "what do I do or need to check next?" While my car is not a points car, I want it to be "correct" and safe. Thoughts? I would hate to have to pull the bell housing if adding a collar is "good enough".

If your car is an early '29 with a single disc clutch, you have the wrong clutch release shaft. Yours should be flush on the right side and take the collar with pin on the left side.

The PPL shows that shaft for "1928 multi" only,...I thought it was carried
over longer. I just don't know..
Also, I don't remember seeing a collar and pin on the left side, at all?

DJ, I think you are correct (as several of the supply catalogs indicate that some single disc clutch cars in 1929 used the shaft. I'm still figuring out what is correct. I'll probably call around later today to figure this out. It is amazing what you learn when you dig. My concern now is about how "interchangeable" these shafts are. If this longer shaft works the same and has no downside, so be it.

My thought....

The shaft was changed from a woodruff key and pin to just a pin when they changed
the T/O fork. That change shows up in the Service Bulletins in June of 29, page 351.
Gary is a 28-29 guy and knows them well,...I like to think I'm a 28-29 guy also.
I just question the shaft change(time line) and the collar on the left..

This, I think, would be a question for the JSC,....tho trivial?

As a follow up, the collar is part #A7616R according to what is reported to be in a parts catalog from the 1930s. I haven't found any new ones... I have found the location of some old ones. I still don't know if the shaft that was in the car when I got it or the shaft installed in the rebuild is correct. Hey, isn't killing 1/2 a day and loosing a night's sleep to figure out the details part of the fun (UGH!). I'm hoping to hear back from the guys at MAFCA.

I don't recall ever seeing a single plate clutch shaft use a collar on the right side.
