1929 Ford Roadster- The Quintessential Hot Rod since Flatheads were produced and brakes were juiced. Older build on an original Model A frame that has been stepped and boxed. Brookville all steel body and 32 grille shell. Chromed custom drilled and dropped front beam axle with chrome Posie spring. Buick brake drums with 40 juice brakes and chromed backing plates. Fresh 284 cubic inch Flathead built by fellow Hamber "Dave's Auto Machine" in Fitchburg, Mass. Isky 400 junior cam, Johnson lifters, polished Offenhauser heads and intake, dual 94 carburetors. Polished Flathead Jack water pumps, coated headers, Powergen alternator, Mallory electronic ignition. Running a 39 transmission and 34 closed drive rear end. Mercury 15 inch wheels with new white wall tires. Walker radiator and full Stewart Warner gauge package. White folding top with chopped and laid back windshield. Etc. etc. etc.
The overall condition is as follows- great presentation, blast to drive, fresh mechanics, some road rash on the Black paint and wear on the interior and top as to be expected, lots of chrome.
This older build has many nuances that you can pick out in the pictures. The original builder had many traditional tricks up his sleeve. It has been driven many miles and enjoyed by 3 owners. The current owner has just replaced the engine and updated the transmission and rear end at the same time. It is ready for many more miles and adventures.
