Default wishbones

is there a saftey precausion when replacing ball whatever is in there to tighten ehe balls if needed I rebuilt all tie rod drag links and was told that most shimmies are from loose wish bones. I am refering to undoing the balls thanks again

The wishbone will drop only about one to one and one half inch when you disconnect it from the housing with very little tension on it. It is very straight forward to replace. Are you using the original style or the rubber ball sleeve style?

Gents, I hope you dont mind me chipping in here, but while on the subject.
My lower clutch housing/gearbox bolts are touching the wishbone. Is this correct or will it restrict the wishbone movement?

is there a recomendation as to which to use old or new. I take from your profile ypu have a vintage bile as well I have a 1983 flh that i ride all summer.
