Default Reproducing manifold heater "sock"

Hello - I've posted a couple messages in the past concerning replacements for the asbestos sock with spring inside that was used on the old manifold heaters. Here's what I ended up doing -- not high tech, but maybe it might help someone else

I cut a proper length of correct id flexible exhaust pipe (8" X 2.5" diameter for my car) and covered it in a slightly wider fiberglass hose (3" diameter). The fiberglass will unravel very quickly, so I pulled it tight and sprayed it with multiple coats of high-temp white paint. The result look pretty good, but we'll see how it holds up over time. Hope it works because I've been missing my heater!
