Sure enough, my carb acted like it was starving fuel, even though I turned GAV to richer..well as someone posted the new GAV rod knob was turning on rod and not adjusting fuel..Ford Barn wins again..thanks to all who post solutions to issues..

Lock tight or J.B. weld worked Purdy good for me on the threads to lock the knob in place.
