Default Engine Splash Pans Color?

I bought a set of new stamped engine splash pans off ebay for $49. They appear to be good quality to me; having limited knowledge of a Model A. Can someone tell me what color they should be painted? Jerry

Have them powder coated gloss black. Powded coating resists gasoline drips from your carburetor.

Just remembered, I STILL have Minerva's powder coated pans hidden behind the file cabinet!! I'll dig them out & give them to Vermin for Christmas!

I used the fuel proof spray paint from a hobby store for mine. No problems with fuel hurting them a bit.

Sometimes Ebay purchases are not the best financially. Snyders at $70 are already powder coated and it will cost you more than $20 to have the Ebay ones powder costed.
