Nope - they are not repopped. Check with HamtownAl here - he has some steel rear fenders .... 38-39-40-41 are the same ....

Keep an eye on "The Swap Meet" as seen at the top bar of the page here. Sometimes there are better deals if you're willing to travel. A few people have resorted to buying several cheap damaged fenders and splicing as many as six different fender sections together to make one good one.

Repop rear pickup fenders would be an item that Drake or Carpenter should make. They would sell a bunch of them. The same fender was used from 38-41

TJ, I agree with you 100 percent. They should get started at once.

It is strange you can find tons of front fenders for those years but rears are a different story. Maybe they we're beat up more often due to being a truck or something.
Drake just started making 36 coupe rears so you never know. |

I think a while back Dick Spadaro had some NOS fenders, you may want to give Bill a call and see.

At the last big swap meet in town I saw one for $250. Problem was that it was beyond fixing. Go figure.

If you can weld. You can make 42 to 47 ford pickup rear fenders work.

Could anyone tell me what you have to do to make a 42-47 fender work on a 40/41?
Thanks. Mart. |

Fenders mount differently at the running board area,( I think there are repair panels that you can buy to make this work), and you would need to add "hole" for the gas filler.

The 42/47 also doesnt have the dimple for the spare tire that the right 38/41 has. The shape were it meets the running board is different along with the bolt patter. Patch panel or junk donor is what you need to change it
