Vern Tardel and I are writing a how-to book on flathead rebuilding and modification. We need a presentable engine shot of each year ('32-'53/'54) either in a car/truck or on a stand. The included photo is the type we're looking for. This one is a '34 (with '32 heads) in an excellent tour-quality '32 Victoria. We'd like to have a '32 with a true '32 engine but haven't been able to turn one up in our area where most early Fords have been hot-rodded at least a little bit.
The file size for this image is 6361.11 KB, and measured 3264 x 2448 pixels before being reduced to fit here. E-files, in full format, can be sent directly to my e-mail account . . . [email protected] We have a very modest photo-buy budget but I will negotiate with contributors on an individual basis. Photos used will receive a credit if desired and a copy of the final book. Thanks in advance for any and all help. Mike Bishop ![]() |

Here's a restored late '32 engine, although except for the late oil pan it is representative of the majority of '32 V-8 engine compartments during the '32 model year. Everything in the photo is '32 Ford.

My restored 33 model B engine ready to be mounted. I will have more pictures after the engine is mounted if you want them. Manuel

Thanks for the response, David. Great-looking engine! Do you have an uncropped hi-res image you could send me? My publisher needs large files that they can size as needed.

If you are looking for block information, the folks on this board helped me put together a great thread: https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showth...5301&showall=1
I didn't ask permission to use the pictures off this forum though. |
