Default garage creeper

I need to upgrade my old creeper that I have used for 25 years! It is a Southland #160 with the steel wheels that are at an angle. Do any of you have a suggestion on an upgrade? Yes, I can still get up from a creeper, but with some effort!

Jerry, Funny you should ask, as my foggy memory tells me it was you who posted a video a year or so ago showing a very expensive "Transformer" kind of creeper that changed back and forth from creeper to shop stool like one of those arm chairs that raise an old timer to his feet. I'm about there myself, but won't admit it if anyone asks.

I struggled with cheap junky creepers for years before I got what I think is the Cadillac of creepers at NAPA: http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...271_0361224062

'

It's bigger than most, heavier (stronger) than most (I'm a big guy), and comfy with an adjustable head rest.

I find that if I grunt, flail my arms, roll over off the creeper and individually lift each knee to a crawling position I can get up. That's on a good day. As someone told me a last week, it is sure a lot more painful to leave this world than to come into it.

Yup, I used that same type of creeper for years, now I've got a lift
in the garage as well as a creeper like the one Old Henry posted. Much nicer...

I have a "Dog Bone" rough terrain. Has big wheels and rolls easy, sometimes too easy. Works great. Rod

I use a "low profile" foam rubber exercise mat.
The big disadvantage is, it is so soft and comfortable I always want to take a nap on it.

Works on gravel too. Add one of the wife's old yoga mats and the comfort level is increased.

I have a Snap On creeper. Looks kind of like the NAPA one, but not sure if they are same.

I actually ran it over with my car (don't ask) and it still works fine.

Not as nice as Henry's but the adjustable head rest makes laying under the car bearable.

Is that anything like running over a "6 pack" you buddy just brought over thanks for working on his car ?? ... Mine is a 6 wheeler, also works nice, some one had a seventh wheeler, one up under the head, it sure moved around nice ?? don't know who or where it was,,,, THE MORE WHEELS THE BETTER ??

Not sure who made it, but I got one as a gift that is "Hot Rod" magazine branded. its the nicest creeper I have ever used, Ill try to go see if it has any manu on it after dinner. Its round steel tube framed, nicly padded, rolls beautifully, side rails are sunk for shoulder clearance. I had just go used to crawling on the concrete rather than trying to use a creeper, but I always use this one.
