F3 rear-end swap

Hi,I'm doing a F3 and need to swap the 4.86 rear-end out.I heard that a 67-72 F250 rear-end would be the right size.I found a bone yard that has a 76 F250,but he can't measure the rear-end till next week.I found a place that sells a new ring and pionon gear kit for 765.00,but my spindles and drums are bad and would still have to find replaements for them.It has a 8 bolt wheel.Any ideals???
