Home from Blue Ridge Tour
Just returned home from what my wife and I considered a Model "A" Triathalon! (NE Ohio to Charlottesville, Blue Ridge Parkway, Gatlinburg to NE Ohio). Completed the journey with no breakdown..(almost had a nervous breakdown in the rain and fog on the parkway) Many thanks to Arlen and the DMAFC! Had a great, although CHALLENGING, vacation!

I really like the second pic in front of the Vanderbuilt.

Re: Home from Blue Ridge Tour
I'm glad you liked it. Trish and I had a really good time planning the tour for everyone. Two years in the making and all the while also planning our wedding. It's been stressful but well worth it.

Re: Home from Blue Ridge Tour
From the outside looking in, Arlen and the Dallas, TX Model A Club did one heck of a great job organizing and planning the MAFCA Tour. Thank you to Arlen, DMAFC and MAFCA for bringing so many Model A enthusiasts to visit the Blue Ridge. Please come back some time between June and September for warmer and dryer weather on our high mountain ridges.

Here's one of my favorite pictures from the tour. My dad took this.

My favorite picture of the Tour with RainX - about the same as the other.

Re: Home from Blue Ridge Tour
How long ago was the Rain-X applied?
When I appied it to one half of my Omni windshield, it was clear as a dry day, while the passenger side was all rain drops. |

Re: Home from Blue Ridge Tour
I found that Rain-Ex doesn't do SQUAT for heavy fog!! Got so thick at times, I could only make out the yellow line..Couldn't see if or when I could pull off the parkway and stop.. Hairy Stuff!

Re: Home from Blue Ridge Tour
I agree. There is a product for anti-fog that is made for bathroom mirrors. I am not sure of the name but someone on a tour that I was on let me use it, and it does work well. I am guessing with the Rain-X it also takes wind across the glass to move the droplets.

Re: Home from Blue Ridge Tour
Unfortunately we had BOTH heavy fog and rain at the same time.

Normally I swear by Rain-X. I use it on all my cars and trucks and seldom turn on the wipers. I will try an anti-fog in the future on the A and see if it is better.

Re: Home from Blue Ridge Tour
REALLY wanted to go on the BRMP tour, but the stars didn't align themselves correctly. From everything I've read, everyone had a great time. Has anyone posted a large collection of pictures from the tour? I would really like to see more photos of the tour.

Re: Home from Blue Ridge Tour
Rainex.....if it is good enough for Delta Airlines it is good enough for me. I use it on all my cars and I use the Rainex Fog on the inside of the windows on the Model A's. I personally have never used a better product.
