The Rear Brake Camshaft Lever...A-2235R-2236L
So you have two (2) Rear Brake Camshaft Levers...A-2235 Right and A-2236 Left to assemble on to the rear backing plates.
HOWEVER...there are no markings on them to distinguish Right from Left. What are some ways to determin Right from Left? When each are assembled on the Left side for instance, one lever is angled differently than the other...so which would be correct? One lever is angled inward, the other is angled outward when assembled to the Left rear backing plate. Have no assembled rear backing plates to compair to. Thanks. Pluck |

Pluck, I think from the parts I have, that the 28-29 have no L and R markings, but the 30-31's have the L and R markings.

The Clevis should point inboard toward the brake rods. Should be easy to tell. The rods should line up fairly well. If they are wrong, you will see it. Good luck.

Re: The Rear Brake Camshaft Lever...A-2235R-2236L
Got it figured out...First of all there is no left or right rear backing plate; there is no left or right rear brake camshaft; BUT there is a left and right Rear brake Camshaft lever.
One can assemble the three parts, including the dust ring and pin, then the placement of the left and right assembled backing plates can thus be determined which one goes on the right or left side of the rear axle. Well Duhhhhhhh! Pluck |

If you assemble the left and right levers incorrectly, you may not be able to get the rods in place and if you did the rods might bend when the brake pedal is applied. Dave |

My other favorite college, App state, you Michigan guys know who that is. |
