I use the KT Industries cut off whell. Not bad as long as you get the thin ones, they make 3 different thicknesses of them. Other than the overpriced DeWalt brand that is about all that is availiable locally. Rod

The KT Industires I have access to last about half as long as the Dewalts and have the same price marked on them.

So far, here is clearly the best I've tried during my 35 years as a blacksmith, both in plain iron such as stainless steel.

I have only ever used Sait. never tried 3M but I think I will if they last longer.

I had a no name grinding stone come apart, my face shield broke but it saved me, thank God I had it on. that was enough for me, I never use cheap grinding wheels.

yes they cost more but how much would you pay to keep your eye sight?

notice the manufacturer....pferd!
they are the best i have ever found and yes they are brittle so treat them with care. never had one come apart while using but the are easily broken if you lay down your cutter hard or pull on the air hose to drag it to you. side pressure breaks them easily.
