Why do think Ford put a grease fitting on the 7 tooth box if you're not supposed to use grease. I mix 600W with chassis grease until it barely flows. I works great and doesn't leak out.

The heavy weight oil was loaded in grease guns back then..

Larry, is this what you ment by Alamite grease fitting or are you just referring to a "normal" grease fitting? This thing caught me by supprise when I bought the car a few months ago. I think I may have messed up by filling it with grease.

Hey What can happen if oil from the steering box and light switch mix? For some reason my cowl lights have not worked since last fall...Could this be the problem?
