Where did the wire wheels come from?

1936 and 1937 had the wide five steel wheels.

Fantastic looking Pickup!!!! Never heard of the Anthony bed. I will also be painting mine a 35 color - red with black fenders and running boards. I still am unsure about mounting the bed to the frame. Are there pads for this? Wish I had taken it apart so I'd know! Also - do you have a side mount spare tire?

Also - could you send me or post a phot of the rear tail light and bracket. Not sure the one I have is correct????

I have 1937 Ford pickup as well and am trying to mount the bed. I have acquired wood mounting blocks but the supplier can't give me any info about where they mount. Any help in the form of pictures or word description would be helpful. The bed was just sitting on the frame when I acquired the truck so I have no reference on how to put it back.

Lawson Cox I have a 1937 Ford pickup that I am in the process of redoing the bed. It was only held on by the fenders bolted to the back of the running boards when I got it and the mounting is a mystery to me. You mention wooden blocks in one of your posts but I have not found the picture you refer to when talking about those blocks. Can you post the picture so I can look at the blocks? Can you describe in any more detail about where they fit on the bed? Thanks for any help.

Wooden bed boards did not show up until the early 1950's

You should have a riveted steel bed with wood underneath

For clarification purposes --- the picture is of the bottom of the pickup bed

It looks like the blocks have the small end down to the frame but what do they attach to on the actual bed. The rear crossmember has a 3/4" flange toward the front of the bed that it might catch but that would only be catching sheet metal not any structure on the bed.

The last picture (althought the end frame cross member is not attached) shows the bed bolt coming through the end of the wood block.
If you have a reproduced bed, there will be some holes you need to create.
The bolt is a tappered head bolt that has a square hole in the top of it for tightening.
If you are unclear on all of this, try and find a 1935-1937 1/2 ton pickup to reference.

One picture shows the end frame cross member attached and the hole where the bolt goes into the frame after going through the wood block.
The other picture shows the head of the bolt that you are needed.
