Third Gen is the best and a God send for my Early V8 needs. Countless 10:00 pm phone calls I have made to Michael and we talk for an hour. Michael and Jane are the best.

So how many man hrs in it? I spent an entire yr doing the cab forward of my '32 PU. What does a great project take nowdays? Newc

$40,000+ and do all the labor yourself. I know.

I dont keep up with hours well, but my personal 36 pickup I likely have 500 hours in but it required extensive bodywork and such, this one I only had to paint about 30% of it so that saved a lot. I likely have 250-280 hours into this one as this was more of a quickie restoration but still looks as nice underneath as topside.. I do all my rebuilding, steering gears engines trans rearends distributors, etc as well as my own sandblasting and painting....

Moneywise is where is gets scary... just purchase price or the truck and price of parts this truck wound up around $34-36k I thought I had around $38k in my personal one but thinking on it more I likely have $46-48k in mine.

The 4-1/4" is a Scat crank, the exhaust is from Waldrons's with their mufflers (didn't fit well and had to do a lot to make it work)

Does it have stock manifolds? With that cam you dont need headers.

Back in 87 I was working in a body shop preping cars for paint.. A fellow walked in and asked me to put a flathead together for him. I looked at all the "Pieces parts", Told him the cam was too much, but he said It's aid for so in it goes. The engine went into a 5500 ln 42 ford ambulance and we went to York 400 miles away for the break in and that was the first L-100 hotrod. It was the goto cam for moct of my builds for over 10 years. Hard to beleve it can give over 20MPG when properly tuned. I still can't believe this cam can do it. Thanks it was a pleasure to hear it again.
