Unfortunately I ordered a wiring harness for a fine point car from Sacramento Vintage and the ends were not correct. They were the improper flag end, like the one that Jim shows in his picture. Not like the proper one that is showed in Jim and Marcos picture. I am not really sure what happened with mine, I know some people swear by theirs, but it did not work for me. I had another one made from Tyree Harris.

Apparently, nobody wants to call Sacramento Vintage Ford and insist they sell you their authentic terminals. OK, perhaps you prefer to buy from Snyder's. If that is the case, here you go-

is it not possible to slightly open up the one bend on the Snyder terminal to accommodate the insulated wire?

When I did the nearly fine-point Tudor's wiring, I acquired a small baggy of them from Sac Vintage for a few bucks. The only difference I see between them and the originals is the material thickness. Undetectable once installed.
Can you please provide us a photo of SVF's terminal as you did with Snyders? (Yes, I have Snyders and Brattons and both are the same). If you have any spares?

Thanks P. S.

That is the problem...the "bend" needed to cover the wire is to short in length.

I hear what you are saying, but it is to bad that when I explained to them that I needed a full set of wiring for a "Fine Point Restoration", I got all the wiring with the wrong flag ends. I guess I didn't, "insist", which I wish I knew I had to. I just assumed that when I said I need it for a Fine Point I would have gotten it correct.

That is what I did but instead of getting 16 Gauge wire...I got 12 Gauge wire...All wrong so I went to Mr. Tyree Harris and got the right wiring and harnes made correctly to Ford Specs according to the Part Drawing for the 1928 wiring system. The only thing I had to do was to cut the ends to the correct specs and solder the original clips to the wire. Now I am down to needing two clips and hopefully have them coming my way.

The problem is when you tell SVF fine point wiring, they still do not do it correctly and then you have to go back and direct them on what you want. That is the reason most of us in fine point use Tyree, he is perfect in every aspect of what he does and needs not to be told anything about what type of restoration. His wiring is always spot on.

Mark, where is Tyree located?
I'm wondering if that's the wiring guy I met at the Studebaker national meet last year.
