I am restoring a 1931 vicky leatherback and I am missing the front seat frames and legs. Is there any place that I may be able to purchase these elusive items?

Put an ad in the International Victoria Association's "Bustle" newsletter. Tom Endy is the editor.

Or you could call Bert's in Denver and they just might have what you are looking for.

Be aware that the Victoria had two different styles of front seat frames. The changeover seems to relate to the change from Leatherback to Steelback in '31, about the time of the introduction of the indented firewall. Both the seat frames & the attachment hardware differs between the styles. Good luck with your search.

With the introduction of the indented firewall, came completely different front seats, which were shared with the 400A and the Deluxe Tudor. These seats were slightly wider; the driver's seat was mounted on sliding tracts and the passenger seat was mounted to an eyebolt passing through the wood floor rails. Both the early and late mounting brackets and hardware are faithfully reproduced by A&L Parts in Canton, CT. The quality of these parts is superb. A full description of the seats is available in the A400 Club newsletter, with pictures and drawings. |
