Most assuredly.....I turn the gas line off a few minutes after I turned the motor off so what dripped out must have been what was left in the line and the carb. Still not right. I think it was dripping around the drain plug also. I've been reading my $295.95 mechanics book about carbs. Could be a number of things.

I would recommend turning off the fuel line and let the engine run the carb out of fuel.
no more to drip.
