Re: 1929 Vintage license plates
I have a 1929 Roadster from West Virginia. The last time it was registered was as an antique but hanging on front was an original 1929 WV plate. I called the registry of Motor Vehicles to see if that number was available and to my surprise about 20 minutes later I got a call back saying it was and I could use it if I wanted to. I had to take the plate to the registry so they could make a photo copy of it for their records and to make sure it was legible. Now I have that plate on the car. Each year I get a sticker with the expiration date but I do NOT affix it to the plate. I keep it with the registration in case there is any question. It sure looks great!
