Talking A funny thing happened at the car show Saturday....

Just wanted to thank this group for all their help with my car.

Took home Best of Show award on Saturday - totally unexpected, but such a great feeling to know people really appreciated the 31 Tomato Red Roadster with the kids climbing all over it.

She is a driver, not a trailer queen, and thanks to you folks she is still running well.

That is the best kind of A, isn't it.

More pics of the "Best In Show" winner please. Those of us with driver cars are proud of you. Did you have the top up or down during the show? We also let kids sit in our roadster in an attempt to get them hooked on the A hobby sometime in their future.

congratulations. The majority of Model A owners have drivers so we can relate to your success.

This is a shot from Wildwood this year (don't have photos from the recent car show uploaded yet).

Yes, WHITEWALLS - my wife likes them. Mostly stock car, but has turn signals so I put amber lenses in the cowl lamps, and my wife wanted the flags

I grew up being told certain colors were never meant to be put together, Black and Brown, Blue and Green, Red and Yellow. Well, "they" are wrong. I think the red and yellow looks great.

Nice roadsters do pretty well at Car shows. The public likes them and even the classic Car guys like the originality. We went to 5 shows this year, we mostly like to talk to folks and share the Model A history. Brought home two best in Class and two best of Show.

Thanks for the compliments.

Car is definitely a "10 footer" - doesn't show in the picture though. Has a few dents in the fender, and an aging lacquer paint job. Always planned on a repaint, but right now it is nice to drive without care and let the kids climb in and enjoy.

I was originally going to paint her Washington Blue (wife's favorite color) but something with the tomato red, black and yellow wheels just pops.

I have Hot Rod friends that ENVY me for having an "original" coupe!

You know if you gussied up the ol' girl you prolly would not want to show her alone and drive it like you stole her. Huh, I was referring to the model A

You know, that was some of the best advice I got from the Barn: "drive her like you stole her"!

Been doing that ever since, enjoying every moment and not looking back!

Wish you had some pictures of the kids in the car. They always seem to be smiling in an "A" and that is the whole idea.

Ask and you shall receive! These pics are of my son and his friends. At car shows, if there is a family with camera I tell the kids to jump in so the parents can get a picture. Kids have such a huge smile when they get in.

One young man asked if he could start it, so I handed him the crank handle - the look on his face was priceless.
