That is very common. Those cars had a reseve. Some auctioneers will notify the crowd when the reserve has been made.

What? No dusty Indians and Harleys?
Obviously an amatuer. Seriously, if I ever started hoarding like this, I hope they cart me off to a padded cell before I leave such a legacy. |

Oklahoma is the epicenter of meth-monkey scrappers. Sadly, I bet a LOT of this stuff will be shredded, sent to china, and sent back to us as harbor freight tools. I'm planning on going.

What's sad is this guy probably saved a bunch of this stuff by hoarding it. There has been plenty of this stuff go to scrap around here. I know two places close to here. That when iron got real high. The old guys had crushers come in and crush every bit of it.

Looks like a few people are jumping to conclusions. Looking at the pictures leads me to believe the guy did sell parts. Why else would there be stacks of bare frames? It could be that because of this "hoarder" that many Model A's are still in service.
There are some good cars in that auction that have been in dry storage. As for the reserve issue... By law, all auctions are "with reserve" unless otherwise noted. Ask the auctioneer. Judging by the volume I suspect a great many parts and maybe some cars will sell below scrap value. The opportunity is there for someone to make some money. Let's hope it's old car guys and not the scrappers. |

That's the 3rd or 4th large sale of Model A parts a week or two before Hershey.
Lot's of stuff on Craigs List in the last week also! There should be alot of Model A parts at all the swap meets for the next couple of years! |

I talked to the auctioneer. He said they will have three rings going. One for cars and one for parts. And one for the rest. He said the pictures don't show most of the stuff. And it will be very long. He said there should be some good deals.
