do you mean the rear spring PIVOT point? Thats the point where the top middle of the leaf pack is attached to the frame... It generally gets badly worn as thats where all the force from the rear axle goes to. always wears the bottom half making the shaft egg shaped.
i would like to see a tool produced that can either A cut down the shaft a small ammount and make it round (use oversize ID bushing) or B one you can weld up then make round again. I think Tom Wessenberg (sorry for the mispell...) has a hand powered lathe that bolts to the stud and you wind it around and around as the carbide tip takes light cuts off. Obviously labor & time intensive but gets it truly round again....
