Default Re: water pump removal

On my Model A to remove the riveted fan and water pump assembly with the BOLTS that look like nuts on studs I had to:

1) remove the radiator shroud
2) loosen the bottom radiator mount bolts
3) loosen four and remove the two upper headlight bar bolts (bar needs to tilt slightly)
4) place a piece of cardboard between radiator and fan
5) take the upper radiator rods loose at the radiator
6) remove the pump bolts-tilt the radiator forward so that the headlight bar moves just enough- remove pump with fan.

This is really not as complicated as it sounds. A two blade fan can be removed without all that. I have one on my car now with a leakless pump.
Hope this helps,

Chet
