Default 51 f.1 rad and shroud having trouble fitting.

hi guys
My 51 F1 , almost finished the resto but struggling to fit the rad and shroud ,spent(wasted) hours on it ,the fan is connected and seems to be in the way ,is the answer to remove it and if so will there be room to reconnect it with the shroud in place ,also when the rad etc is in place I will need to get a bar and socket on the crank pulley to turn the engine for timing ,will I have room ? yet another small job that's holding me up ,many thanks for your help , Jim.

Jim,you should have put the shroud in place before Radiator. now you need to take off fan assy or pull the radiator, It will be tight when you have the shroud on to roll over the motor. Good luck..

No problem turning the engine with a breaker bar and short extension with everything in place.

Thanks Ken, I first put the shroud in place round the fan and tried to slide the rad in front of it but the bottom hose extensions on the rad stops the rad from going over the bottom of the shroud , in fairness I was trying to do it at the end of a tiring day ,I will have another try first thing tomorrow but I cant see a simple answer but obviously it can be fitted , most pictures I see of the engine bay of these trucks don't have the shrouds on but they are there for a reason , thanks Jim.

Lot of those shrouds were scrapped years ago. once they service the radiator, they take them off. They are there for a reason..
