Hello to All.......just joined the Barn, have surfed it through getting my 30 Coupe on the road last year. I now have a 30 Victoria and have more questions than answers! Thank you in advance for any assistance.
Don -Are 30/31 Vics the same? 30s not slanted......... -Are they all Murray bodies? Mine has a Murray body tag..... -Are they also called slant windows when referenced, or is that a certain 31 sedan model reference? -I have a body only, both doors with cowl. Roof panels and wood are about completely gone; are these parts Vic only? -There is no subrail/subframe to speak of..... -Is there a good source for new parts, Ebay STINKS! - I need glass, garnishes, interchange info, etc. Basically, I need to know what I have to properly ask for the parts I need. heeeeeeeeeeeeelp Last edited by ZACSDADDY; 07-24-2013 at 02:24 PM. Welcome to the Model A world. A few answers to your questions; -Are 30/31 Vics the same? Yes, both 30/31's are slant windshield, there were changes to some items from late '30 to '31. -Are they all Murray bodies? Mine has a Murray body tag. Yes, Murray made the bodies. There have been no documented bodies produced by Briggs found as yet. -Are they also called slant windows when referenced, or is that a certain 31 sedan model reference? They are simply referred to as a Victoria, they were the first with a slanted windshield. -I have a body only, both doors with cowl. Roof panels and wood are about completely gone; are these parts Vic only? Yes, alas -There is no subrail/subframe to speak of. It is wood in a Victoria. -Is there a good source for new parts, Ebay STINKS! Generally, some new Victoria specific parts are available...wood, garnish moldings, door sills & glass. - I need glass, garnishes, interchange info, etc. Check into the Victoria Association for more info: www.VictoriaAssociation.com Vern |

Thank you for the info Vern, and Phil. If ANYONE has Vickie parts for grabs please contact me. I have no floor to speak of, no wood solid enough to make a toothpick from; those are my starting points, but any parts would be great!

Welcome to the hobby! There are several places to get new parts. Snyder's Brattons, Mikes, Berts to name a few. But there are many smaller places and you might have one close to you. It is always good to make contact with a local chapter and ask them about picking things up. There is a special interest group in the Model A Ford Club of America regarding the Victoria body style. It is a good place to seek answers to specific Victoria questions.

"STARTED" some work on the Vicky tonight. Wanted to see how bad the header area was. Surprisingly, it was not too bad. Had to hack a few bolts out of the way, rusted solid hardware and soft wood is never a good combo! HARBOR FREIGHT SAWS-ALL!!!!

Zacsdaddy, love all the extra holes in the firewall! There were 37 in my Vic cowl, including a 2" diameter one for the heater.
What is the body number on the tag by the fuel shutoff? And by the way, the exterior visor is not original to a Victoria. Last edited by Vern; 08-02-2013 at 03:22 PM. Reason: added info |

Was this a right hand drive? The first picture in #15 looks like the notch for the steering is on the right side, though I can't see the bottom too well. Which side of the gas tank has the steering suport?

Tom, you are correct, the opening for the steering is on the right. You can see the left boss has not been cut out.
