Angry Front tire wearing too fast!

I think I ask this question a few weeks ago, but approaching 80. I guess I forgot. But I will try again. I put on two new tires on the front about 6000 miles ago. I noticed the right tire, (passenger tire) is almost worn out and the driver's side still looks very good. As I drive about 45 mph I have to constatly have to correct the movement, It seems to have started wandering in the last few months. Tire pressure is 35. Brakes pull slightly to tha left, It wanders to the left. Checked to wheel bearing and they were a little loose on the right side, but not very much. Do not remember hitting anything that could have knocked the alignment out. I jaked up the front end and did not feel any slack at all. Thanks for the help. John

One worn out tire could have payed for a wheel alignment. I would have it checked.

What does the right tire wear pattern look like? One edge, both edges, even all across, cupping, etc.?

Could be a bad toe-in adjustment, or a bent axle, or a weak/broken spring,

Take the car to a real wheel alignment place. Not Firestone or one of those "electronic machine" places. They won't know how to do it. Find somebody that can do big trucks and has that machinery. Have it aligned to spec by them and you probably won't have trouble with it again.

The design of the Model A front end makes cones of the front tire and wheel design. Camber, king pin inclination angles accomplish this. In order to move a cone in a straight ahead motion, the outer portions of the cones need to be angled inward at the outsides of the cone shape, This is one reason for toe-in. I agree that when you spend upwards of $400-500 for new tires a check of the front end is a must.

The tire is worn evenly across the tire. Thanks, John

If it's only one side that's wearing and not the other, I'm not so sure it's toe in. I'd look for a bent axle or weak or broken spring on that side.

Another thing to look at is tie rod ends. Do you have a shimmy in the front end?
