Default Disk Brakes for a 55 Thunderbird

I have original rims and was wondering if they will fit the disk brake hubs
that are available through many suppliers?
Anything else I should be aware of ??
Thanks
Larry

I use Granada spindles, hubs, and calipers on a 55 car. I had the new hub/rotors cut about 1/8 inch to fit the 55 steel wheels. These hubs have plenty of meat in them, so it is not a problem taking off a little. They have been on the road for about ten years, driven all over the country.

The TBird parts suppliers have disc conversion kits. These allow the use of stock wheels.
