Default Garage sale find

I had a friend that had called me back in 1990 that he knew of an estate sale in his neighborhood and he asked me if I would be interested and showing up to see what maybe for sale. I had bought a few engine block transmission and some tools and bunch of boxes with parts. One of these boxes which I had forgotten and put in storage until a few days ago. Open this box last night and this is what I found bunch of gauges and senders also the receipt dated 12/1/1949 these gauges possibly for airplane not sure can anyone identify what they would be for or fit.

Thanks
Frenchy

Airplane gauges for a small probably civilian airplane. Try some of the airplane web sites. Nice find. The modern boys call them Steam gauges: I'm insulted after 4000 hours of reading them dials

Tachometers look like the one I had in my '46 Taylorcraft.
