When to install the glass
Im getting ready to have my 1928 Fordor painted. Whould it be better to have the side window glass in before it is painted or after?
What about the front windshield? Before or after the paint? Thanks |

Re: When to install the glass
Painting everything prior to assembly like Ford did provides the appearance of a restoration. Painting after assembly looks good from a distance but up close looks like a "paint job".

Re: When to install the glass
i paint the frames, then put the glass in and paint the rest of the car. Mostly because i am clumsy and would scratch the paint putting the car back together. Now you can choose a method that suites you best.
