More than once I have come across guys offering for sale a pair of lower stanchions for 30-31 roadsters, where one was steel, one was bronze. It seems to me it was the driver's side that was bronze, and in fact my project came with a (broken) bronze driver's side stanchion. What is with these bronze pieces? electrolysis? channeling psychic forces? seems like strength would be the main concern, not weatherability.

BTW anybody have a 30-31 (STEEL only, thank you) drivers side stanchion for sale?
