Default Wiper wipes one time

My vacuume wiper works and wipes a full stroke when I pull the switch, and then stops. It goes back when I push the switch back in, any thoughts?

The switch isn't tripping to send the vacumm from one side to the other. May be the spring or part of the mechanism broken or fell out of place. Remove the cover on front and have a look.

Presuming you are using a Trico (I believe all vacuum wipers that Ford used for the Model A were manufactured by Trico) or a similar vacuum-operated wiper, it sounds as though the reversing mechanism (that is, the reversing valve) is hung up or otherwise not operating. The reversing valve can be accessed via the reversing valve cover which is held on by two screws.

I'm NO expert on wipers, but it sounds like the reversing mechanism might be hung up. The reversing mechanism is under the little snap-on or scew on cover on the front of the motor. Perhaps some light oil (3 in 1?) in that area will help. It is a little gate that snaps back and forth under the tension of a small coil spring.

If you work the wiper back and forth by hand, the little gate should snap back and forth, alternating vacuum between the left and right side.

Reversing mechanism 3, something else 0. (I sure hope it's not 'something else'...)

Note the "oil soaked felt silencer"...it is one of several possible failure points here. The felt limits the motion of the moving bits in the "reversing lever assembly" and if the contact area of the felt becomes crushed/compacted the parts go too far and stop...rotating the thing may help that.

Mine did that. Warmed it with a hairdryer & it worked. With a short hose & working slowly by hand, I sucked in some high quality gun oil & it worked perfectly. The grease on the flapper was probably gummy.
Yes, as someone else said, with motor off & working wiper slowly by hand, you CAN hear the reversing mechanism go, CLICK, CLICK, CLICK. bILL w.

I had the same problem. Used a 6" piece of wiper hose and squirted a little 3-in-one oil in it with wiper turned in one direction by hand, then a little more oil with the wiper turned the opposite direction. Works real good now.

I used this same process on my Hudson but used Neatsfoot oil, with excellent results. 3 years later they still work like new. Neatsfoot oil is available where leather cleaning supplies are sold.
