Front Tool Box
Please excuse my poor memory. But I am trying to find information for a tool box (it was removable) that fit behind the front bumper and in front of the hand-crank hole.
I think it was a DIY article in one of the national magazines, but as of yet, I have not been successful in finding it. Can anyone out there in Fordbarn steer me in the right direction? Thanks,

Re: Front Tool Box
on page A-150 in the 2009 Snyder's catalog there are some tool boxes that fit between the frame horns. That would show you what you're looking for anyway.

Re: Front Tool Box
Thanks Larry, I didn't think about the vendors (poor memory thing again). I'll look at Snyder's web site. Maybe it will jog the old brain cells.
In the mean time, has anyone run across that article? Thanks,

Re: Front Tool Box
Thanks 1931. For some reason I thought I had seen it on the old fordbarn.
I'll give the search a try. Thanks,

https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?p=24287 The photos and discription are what I remember from the past. I also remember there was a drawing, and an article about this installation. I also remember instead of a Craftsman tool box, there was a drawing for fabricating a tool box from scratch. Anybody have that information salted away in their archives? Thanks,

Re: Front Tool Box
"29wagon - Thanks, I did see the tool boxes in the vendors web sites, but I have should have stated earlier that they are just too expensive. They are nice, and will do the job; but in my opinion over-priced.
With some scrap material, nuts & bolts, and a tool box from TSC or Farm & Home; I can put on a splash guard tool box for less than $25. UPDATE: I found the article; pg 34-35, Jan/Feb 1985, Volume 29, Issue 5 of the Restorer magazine. It is the same set up as what was shown in the thread I listed above. Plus there is the article and a drawing with dimensions of the bracket. Also, in the Jan/Feb 1983, Volume 27, Issue 5, pg 41-43 is another where the box and bracket are shown on drawings with dimensions. It's installation is of a more permanent nature. Thanks everyone for you replies. I hope the above info will be helpful to others.

Re: Front Tool Box
We have covered a couple of versions in the Model A Times, Mike's has a very nice one that looks like it belongs there.
