I was cleaning my shop out today and was looking at a pair of 49-53 Ford heads that I had .I remember removing them from my 53 flathead engine when I installed the Offenhauser alum.heads .The old heads have the name Ferro cast into them.Is this an after market head ? It says USA under the Ferro. The name Ferro also has a straight line through the center of it .Just curious .

If I am not mistaken, Ferro was a company that reproduced a lot of Ford parts, along with several other makes.
