windshield help needed

Can anyone supply me with a diagram and or pics of how the two arms that support the windshield when it is opened are attached both at the windshiled frame and to the a pillars?

Someone prior to me rigged these two areas together improperly and the windshiled does not open and close as it is supposed to. There are all sorts of washers and chintzy plastic spacers crammed in there to make it sorta work, I want to put it back correctly!

Looks like I may have the wrong stanchions on my windshield frame? I will post pics tomorrow, Thanks Bob C!
