An interesting old picture

This is an old picture of my father John S. Lee. Can anybody identify the car? I suspect the picture was taken in the 20's but there was no indication on it to be certain.

I'd start my looking at early '20's Buicks

I'd guess standard size Buick too. pre 24 most likely. 24 and up had a bead around the rim of the fender.

Searching tip:
Use Google ADVANCED image search: http://www.google.com/advanced_image_search

Then you can put "Buick" on the top line, which ie like regular Google, and use the
"any of these words:" line to put in something like 1920 1921 1922 and so on...
You also have the phrase line for things like "instrument panel"

I've been looking at pictures via Bruce's suggestion until I am cross-eyed, and I have found nothing that looks close. Characteristics visible in the photo that I have not been able to find together in any of the hundreds of pictures of 10's of different makes:

Curved cowl along the bottom of the windshield.
Hinge line of hood at the beltline.
Beltine straight back along lower edge of driver's side opening.
Curved lower corners of windshield.
No apparent hinges on door (Perhaps no door at all?)
Very tall splash panels.
Fenders appear to be flat on the top surface.
Fenders with a strange edge, almost like a small edge and shelf or some-such.
Area above rear wheel and behind cab is quite substantial
Overall height is quite tall for a roadster.(My father was 5'11")
Six bolts holding rims together (Found most have four)
No sidemount spare on Driver's side.

And on and on......

Kinda looks like a 24-26 Dodge Bros. but the fenders may have been reinforced?

A major feature is that strong beltline stamping, which probably ties in with a stepped radiator top. Just fuel for guessing at a starting point for searching...
That is what led me to try Buick. Packards are similar there and have six lug demountables, but look like top of cowl is more curved...

after looking at several older Buicks, it is not a Buick. Try google images search on 1919, 1920, 1921, 1922, 1923 roadster. It could be a jewett. The one pic of that I found had a slightly differing cowl, but that could be another year. The belt line is notable, as is the curved windshield. There were many curved windshields in those days, but not many with a lower corner like your dads car. You would not believe how many unusual names existed in the early 20's. Without the radiator shell in the photo, its gonna be pretty difficult.

The Packard cowl looks very short and the top angled compared to the OP picture.

I am not sure but I believe it may be a smaller car something like a Star or a Gray ??

The Packard Six is not even close. Look at the windshield - the original picture has a split windshield, the Packard Six is not split.

Not all Single Six Packards are alike. I thought the cowl was damn close if not right on. While I'm no expert on the Single Six, I know there were several body/top/windshield configurations over the years. Here's an older version:
