i picked this up from a friend the other day, it's a good strong motor. i had the chance to drive the pickup that it came out of it. the old motor pulled real good. i think it's good to have a extra motor or two laying around. it made the old pickup ride very good to!

Cool! Looks good nestled in the back of your truck. I would just bolt it down and leave it there!

Brendan that looks like a '37-E'38 21 studder to me. Definitely a great spare engine to hang on to. Besides, you can never have too many flathead engines squirreled away. Just ask any of my friends who have seen my garage. They usually say... holley molley John, where did ya get all those Flathead's?? And my usual answer is..."why...do you have some you would like to give to me or maybe sell me"??

Great Brendan. First thing I checked...21 stud....beautiful. I sold a project I had a while ago, with a '37 engine....rebuilt long ago, practically no cylinder wear, ran good over 20 years ago before being in storage......looks like I'm getting it back.....guy preferred a 24 stud motor. OK....E.Meyer heads, intake, little cam, twin 81's.....going to be fun....spare or runner for my '35 3W. Aren't flatheads exciting.

Looks like the generator, starter and obviously water pumps have recently been redone.

Spare engines, I think not, that flathead needs a body to go into. You can never have too many old Fords. Lookin good cousin!! I will keep an eye out for your next project.
